Linda Klumpers, Ph.D.

Director

Linda Klumpers, founder of Cannify, is Research Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine, President of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), and Executive Editorial Board Member of the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology. Trained as a clinical pharmacologist at Leiden University Medical Center and the Centre for Human Drug Research in the Netherlands, she has studied cannabinoids in humans since 2006. She holds an M.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of Amsterdam and a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology from Leiden University Medical Center, where her research focused on the clinical pharmacology of cannabinoids (see thesis). Her work has received multiple international awards, including the ICRS William A. Devane Early Career Investigator Award (2026), the ElSohly Award from the American Chemical Society (2018), and the BJCP Prize from the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology. In 2016, Dr. Klumpers founded Cannify, providing science-based cannabis education and online product navigation for patients, healthcare providers, and dispensary employees. In 2018, she partnered with Dr. Michael Tagen to co-found Verdient Science, and in 2020, she was awarded a €1.9 million grant to research cannabinoids in chronic pain. Through Cannify, she focuses on providing objective, science-based cannabis education and data analysis to support safe use and prevent misuse.

Matthew Green, Ph.D.

Pharmacology expert

Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience) and is Adjunct Faculty at Brock University. With over 12 years of research experience in preclinical and clinical studies, he has co-authored 14 publications. Previously, he helped develop the Research and Medical program at Aphria Inc. (now Tilray) and served as Co-Chair of the Medical and Scientific Advisory at Medical Cannabis Canada. Matthew has conducted survey research on 10,000+ patients using cannabis for medical purposes, the results of which have been presented to Health Canada and industry to inform policy and improve patient care. As a member of the Cannify team, he has helped to review the scientific literature on cannabis use for medical purposes, design internal research projects, and create educational content for health care practitioners and patients.

Jan Rozanc, Ph.D.

Pharmacology expert

Jan earned an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Business from Oxford Brookes University and a Ph.D. in Systems Pharmacology from the University of Luxembourg. A pharmacologist with over a decade of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, he has held key roles at Apex Healthcare Consulting in Oxford and Protavio Ltd in Athens, specializing in biomarker and drug development. He is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Maribor’s Medical Faculty, where his research focuses on the pharmacology of the endocannabinoid system and its implications for cancer and inflammation. At Cannify, Jan applies his pharmacology expertise to help interpret new cannabinoid research and contributes to the development of accurate, science-based tools that support patient decision-making and provider education.

Chris de Wit, M.Sc.

Technical support

Chris has been programming since his teenage years and holds an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics. At Cannify, he played a key role in developing the algorithms behind the Cannify Quiz, ensuring accurate and data-driven recommendations. His expertise extends across backend and frontend development, where he continually enhances the platform’s performance and user experience. Chris is constantly improving Cannify’s infrastructure, optimizing website speed, refining the homepage design, and enhancing account features to provide a seamless experience for users. In addition to his technical contributions, he has also played a role in shaping the website’s visuals, aligning functionality with an intuitive and engaging design.

Vanessa Lobrigas, B.A.

Data manager

Vanessa, a registered nurse from the Philippines, transitioned into the virtual assistance industry in 2016. With nearly a decade of experience, she has helped businesses streamline operations through administrative support, process management, and ad hoc projects. Her expertise includes documentation and workflow optimization, allowing businesses to improve efficiency and stay organized. At Cannify, she manages data with a focus on accuracy, organization, and efficiency, ensuring that all inputs are well-structured and precise, supporting seamless operations.

Milica Brankovic, M.A.

Assistant

Milica holds an M.A. in English Language and Literature from Belgrade University, Serbia. Her professional background includes teaching English, organizing classes, and managing content and materials for large groups of students. As a Field Service Coordinator at NCR, she managed a team of engineers, wrote manuals and reports, and streamlined operations. At Cannify, Milica provides support across various projects, offering technical assistance, creating presentations, and managing documentation, including grant applications. Additionally, Milica contributes to the development of educational content, and manages the Cannify website.
